If your geyser has burst
Do these three things first, then call or WhatsApp Hanru:
- Switch off the geyser at the distribution board.
- Close the cold-water supply valve to the geyser (or the main water supply).
- Take photos of the damage for your insurer before anything is moved.
Repairs
Many geyser problems don’t need a new geyser. Hanru tests and replaces the parts that fail most often:

Replacements and new installations
When a geyser needs replacing, it’s installed to SANS 10254 with the parts the standard requires:
- Drip tray with its own drain
- Pressure control valve and safety valve
- Vacuum breakers
- Certificate of Compliance (CoC)
